Shakespeare in the Park is Underway

Shakespeare in the ParkSummertime brings out a lot of cultural and education events around the region. Right now we’re in the midst of a great tradition that attracts thousands of visitors to Louisville. It’s the oldest, free Shakespeare festival in the country, attracting up to 15,000 visitors each year, and it happens right here in Louisville’s Central Park.

Kentucky Shakespeare’s annual Shakespeare in the Park shows offer opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the works of Shakespeare in the beautiful outdoor setting, and it’s going on now through July 29, 2012.

This year’s festival features Much Ado About Nothing, a comedy about two pairs of lovers, Benedick and Beatrice, and Claudio and Hero. It’s directed by Jane Page.

Excluding Mondays, you can catch a performance of Much Ado About Nothing at 8:30PM each night. Closed captioned performances are available on July 20 and 21.
