Experiment, Play, Dance and Dream at Bernheim

Our region has no shortage of green space, places where you can relax, recharge your batteries and enjoy the best life has to offer. Luckily for us, we’ve got a 14,000 acre piece of heaven, just off I-65, right here in our own back yard.

Bernheim Connect

Saturday, August 26th

Bernheim Aboretum and Research Forest was founded in 1929 by Issac Wolfe Bernheim – a German immigrant who settled in Kentucky. From a humble beginning as a peddler, he made his fortune in the whiskey distilling business where he established the I.W. Harper brand.

Grateful for his good fortune, he gave the land that became Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest to the people of our region — As a gift!

If you’ve never taken time to check out Bernheim, this is the weekend to do it. That’s because on Saturday from 6:21pm – 10:21pm, Bernheim will host CONNECT — a nighttime collision of art, music, science and technology around Lake Nevin. Artists, scientists, naturalists, progressive thinkers and innocent bystanders unite in this celebration of creativity and technology – informed, infused and surrounded by nature.

CONNECT is Bernheim’s grand invitation for all to experiment, play, dance and dream. One can participate in the madness or simply enjoy the sights and sounds.

The suggested donation is $5 per person (funds provide support for Bernheim). Enjoy beer, food, eclectic music on the Sunset Amphitheatre stage and interesting and innovative installations and happenings all the way around the lake. Make discoveries about art, science and nature and share an unforgettable evening with friends.
